Darrow produces huge, firm berries, the size of a quarter; one of the largest berries of any variety! Also sought out for its stunning fall color display. Don't miss the show!

The bush is vigorous and upright. A consistent heavy producer of firm, light blue, sweet/tart, flavorful berries in the late midseason. A good choice in the Pacific Northwest. Ripens throughout the month of August.

    Highbush hybrids will cross pollinate with other highbush and lowbush varieties.

  • What will cross polonate with the Darrow blueberry?

    Pretty much any other blueberry, aside from the Rabbiteye varieties.

These Darrow blueberries arrived in excellent condition. There were so perky and they already had flowers.

My vote for best flavor!

Darrow blooms early in the SF Bay Area with berries ripening in May-June. Having a variety of plants to compare, this one gets high marks as a favorite due to its deep blueberry flavor. Not overly sweet and not tart fairly large berries. As the bush matures it produces more berries. This is one variety every blueberry lover must own!
