Kanko Bai Flowering Apricot | Prunus Mume - On its own roots [SPRING]
Bungo Flower Apricot / Myro 29 C [SPRING]
A beautiful flowering apricot from the Bungo region of Japan, which has fragrant, long lasting pink flowers in early spring. The fruit which follows is up to 2' in diameter and is used in Asian delicacies such as plum sauce and umeboshi (salt plums).
Use another P. mume for cross pollination and better fruit set. Often blooms too early in maritime climates and doesn't set a crop. It is still a beautiful ornamental.
