The sweet, superb flavor of this raspberry from Italy has generated tremendous excitement. Expect an abundant harvest of big, bright, red, candy-sweet berries that ripen on 5' tall canes in late July through early August. In warmer climates, prune plants as everbearers, cutting canes a few inches above ground in late fall and primocanes set a fall crop. In cooler climates grows as a floricane bearer. USDA Zones 5-9. 4 inch pots.

Best flavor among all the raspberries I've grown

I've trialed a lot of raspberries over a couple of decades, and Rosanna has always outdone them all on flavor. The canes are finicky and never quite thrive like other raspberries, but the flavor is worth it. I live in the Seattle area.

4in pots raspberries

I ordered 10 4in raspberries, one was a stem with no leaves, the others looked fine. I left them in my sunroom with addition of grow lights to darken and strengthen them, before I put in the ground. They looked weak after shipping.

Might need a warmer zone than listed

I live in the San Juan Islands (7B) and planted Rosanna and Anne two years ago, in neighboring beds with identical growing conditions. So far Anne has overwhelmed and Rosanna has underwhelmed. Rosanna has grown well and set tons of fruit, but sets 6-8 weeks later than Anne and the few ripe berries I ve eaten are small and tart. Going to try to prune for an early crop this year (on last year s canes) as a last resort. Otherwise I ll pull them out at the end of the summer and plant Caroline, which was my original choice but was sold out when I placed my order. This may simply be a case of a raspberry that would do well further south.
