Malus domestica 'Golden Sentinel'

Enjoy this this golden columnar apple late into the fall! Golden Sentinel is a large flavorful yellow apple that ripens in early October, sweet and juicy with that classic McIntosh crunch!

Columnar apple trees are trees that produce their fruit on spurs along the main stem. Columnar trees combine disease resistance, flavor, and ease of growing in small spaces as each has a narrow upright habit.

Ideally suited to grow in a container, on a patio, or as a small tree in the ground, trees grow to about 8' tall. Like other apples, you will need two different cultivars for pollination.  Columnar apple varieties bloom in the mid and mid-late seasons and are good pollinizers for any other apple variety!

Chill hours 800 to 1200. On MM106 semi-dwarf rootstock.

USDA Zone: 4-9

Golden Sentinel Apple Tree

The tree arrived looking good & is now planted. Last year I got the Scarlet Sentinel from Raintree as well and is looking great. These take up such little space and can't wait to start getting apples.

Like it so much I've planted at 2 homes.

I bought one 3 years ago and have been very pleased. It's finished it's third summer around 8 ft tall and produced 8-10 apples last fall. They were sweet and lightly tart. I moved last summer and just received a new one for the new house as well as a couple more columnar trees. I was so excited I planted them the day they arrived.
