Marsol Grafted Chestnut
Castanea sativa x crenata 'Marsol'
Prohibited to AZ
From France, Marsol nuts are large in warm summer areas, and medium-sized in cooler locations, varying 22 to 28 nuts per pound, have very good flavor, are easy to peel, and fall from the bur mid-season. Sporting an upright timber form, its early blooming habit may sometimes be a challenge if spring weather is inconsistent. Marsol is a very good pollinator, as well as being blight resistant. A great choice for East Coast growers!
