Morus spp. 'Dwarf Everbearing'
Small space requirements, but full-sized berries. This tree makes baskets of medium, black mulberries so sweet there’s no need to add sugar! Even pruned down this tree is a lovely specimen tree whose fruit will keep you in jam winter long. Berries also freeze very well for long term storage.
Leaves of Morus spp. can be dried for a good black tea substitute, or fed to any homestead critters you may be raising - they are very high in protein and great fresh or dried for rabbits, chickens, goats, sheep - and, of course, silkworms.
