Medaille D'Or Cider Apple - Semi-Dwarf
A classic European cider apple. It is a "bitter sweet", very high in both sugars and tannin. It makes a sweet cider with a high alcohol content and a delicious fruity flavor. It is somewhat scab resistant. The fruit is oblate in shape and yellow with russeting. It blooms very late in the season and ripens in late October. Named for the Gold Medal it won in France in 1873. On EMLA 106 semi-dwarf rootstock.
