Rugen alpine strawberry (4-Inch Pot / Fall)

(Fragaria vesca) A great plant for the edible landscape, it looks beautiful in rockeries orin a border planting. These everbearing strawberries produce 3/4 inch, elongated sweet red berries on an attractive 8 inch tall upright plant. They produce no runners but spread from the clump to make a great ground cover. Spaced at one foot apart, they fill an area quickly. Alpines grow well in sun or shade. First cultivated 250 years ago in France, they are native to the Alps. Available Fall Only.
