Ceanothus americanus
New Jersey Tea is a tough, native, accent plant that endures drought and fixes its own nitrogen, so it can thrive in soils where other plants might fail. New Jersey Tea is a fantastic forage for bees and countless other pollinators with its cloudlike white blooms that erupt in early summer. New Jersey Tea’s foliage hosts more than 40 species of caterpillars too, which in turn nourish songbirds and their chicks.
