Lavandula x intermedia 'Fred Boutin'

Fred Boutin lavender is enchanting in all seasons! This fragrant French-style lavender grows to about 3' tall when in full bloom; the woody, silver-leaved, evergreen bush itself grows to approximately 18", and the bloom spikes add an additional 18" in height each summer. Originally released in 1984 and developed in So. CA, this variety has a medium violet-blue bloom and bud color. Not as intensely fragrant as some varieties, it still graces us with its heady scent; the flower spikes are particularly durable and great for crafts and dried arrangements.
