Noir De Spain mulberry tree is among the most beautiful of all mulberry cultivars. It grows to 25 feet and has a symmetrical, spreading habit and very large, heart-shaped leaves. Each late summer and early fall, it produces a good yield of delicious fruit that is black when it is ripe, and is said to have the most complex and satisfying flavor of all the mulberry species.
The tree is hardy in USDA Zones 8-10. Black mulberry trees thrive in CA, Western OR and Western WA and throughout the South, wherever temperatures don't fall below 10 degrees F.
