Thornless Loganberry

October 6 2023 I received two thornless Loganberry. This is April 8, 2025. Both plants are healthy and hearty and have a bunch of little white flowers. I am in Dallas by the way. You did your part, Raintree Nursery. It is rewarding to have unusual varieties. I am thinking about a Tlor-Tsiran Apricot, next.

The berry plants arrived and are in good shape. Planted them and am hoping for a crop later this year!

Just planted them a week ago. They’ve taken, but won’t know much until next spring.

Came in perfect condition will buy from them again

The logan arrived in excellent condition. I am planting it inside a 27 gallon storage container(with lots of holes for drainage). It is inside a fence, to keep the deer away from it. It is doing well, going to sleep for the winter.

I just had my first loganberries, and they are wonderful, with an earthy taste and an aftertaste that reminds me -- remotely -- of the smoky aroma of a well-aged Scotch whiskey. I can t wait to couple this with some French Vanilla ice cream. The plant has a couple of dozen berries and a few blossoms, so it has to be considered a good producer after two years of zero berries, a fault of my bad planning. I at first had it planted in morning shade where it received no sun until noon, but moved it last autumn so it gets sunlight after 1030, and that makes all the difference. I think I might have to buy at least one more of these from Raintree.
