It is immune to scab and resistant to both mildew and cedar rust. The large, beautiful fruit ripens in late September.

  • Is this Dayton more sweet than tart? We are looking for somewhat tart too.

    It is more sweet than tart, but definately has a sub-acid (tart) profile.

Great bare root tree

Just received my bare root dwarf Dayton apple tree.
I let it soak in a bucket of water for 24 hours, as directed to. Today I planted it. If it does as well as the Akane apple tree that I bought from Raintree Nursery in the fall of 2023, then it will do great things for me.
I highly recommend Raintree Nursery for all your gardening needs.
