Pyrus pyrifolia 'Reddy Robin'

Developed in New Zealand, this cross of Japanese and Chinese Pears is called a "Papple" in England because its red/orange skin and yellow blush look like and taste a little like an apple. Enjoy the crisp fruit in late summer.

Scab resistant and easy to grow.

My New Fav Asian Pear

I ordered this Reddy Robin and arrived Feb 29,2024. Planted in container when it first came and then transplanted to the ground fall 2025. Looks very healthy plant. This year had 15 fruits which we harvested August 28. Small fruits but very crisp, juicy and sweet. My new fav. (we have New Century, Hosui, & Korean Giant all from Raintree and are healthy and productive trees) Thank you Raintree.
