Malus domestica 'Enterprise'

Enterprise apples are glossy red with yellow highlights, and have an excellent sprightly flavor! They ripen late in the apple season and are fantastic keepers with a taste that improves and matures in storage.

Enterprise is a productive, fast-growing tree with a vigorous, spreading habit. Completely immune to apple scab, and very resistant to fireblight, cedar apple rust, and mildew, Enterprise apples are proven winners and heavy producers in most of the United States!

Arrived in great condition

We received our Enterprise apple tree a few weeks ago. It's leafed out very well and is flowering.

Enterprise

One tree is thriving and the other did not. Did the scratch test and all is brown. No sign of life. The tree that did not survive, looked like the knot where the graft was, was crumbling and looked dry and brown. Both looked fantastic in the fall. Of course I am disappointed.

I’ll never know

I have been wanting to add this variety to my collection for awhile. I purchased it earlier this year when there was a BOGO so I added a Pear tree.
The apple tree arrived dead and the Pear didn’t look much better. The pear has since leafed out and should be fine.
I was informed that since it was a BOGO that Raintree will not reimburse or credit the dead tree. I find this unacceptable since the tree I ordered arrived dead.

Taking well

This apple is off to a good start. It has been in a ground maybe a month and 1/2. It did have some blooms.

Enterprise and Honeycrisp

Both arrived when promised. The Honeycrisp is a fantastic looking tree and is well branched. The Enterprise on the other hand is quite spindly looking and is a straight twig with one small branch. Was hoping for a better looking tree but it is in the ground and we will hope for the best. Thought it should be a better looking tree for the price!

Enterprise Apple tree

The tree came packaged well and healthy. It was already perfectly pruned to just where I needed it! Thank you!

More instructions on care

I purchased 2 bare root semi dwarf apple trees from Raintree which I planted last spring according to instructions. We are now ending their second spring since planting and we have not yet pruned the trees. I’m unsure why there were no instructions about pruning the young trees right after planting. I have discovered through my own research that this is the proper procedure with young apple trees. They are now over a year in the ground and have grown significantly and I am totally confused as to how to prune them now. Summer will be upon us in a few weeks and I’m not sure if I can start removing branches and try to establish a central leader now. I will probably have to hire an arborist to come out now. I wish the instructions on planting had advised about the initial pruning of these young trees. I feel I’m behind the 8 ball now.

Really Good Tree Sent

I’m very happy with the Enterprise apple tree sent to me. It was sent dormant, as it should have been, as trees are way more resilient while dormant. The tree was also very well branched. It was in between 4-5 feet, so sent as advertised. Everything was perfect. Very happy. I’ve bought a lot of mail order trees this year and this one was one of the best received from any nursery. I planted it in my chicken coop with a Liberty and Gold Rush apple trees adjacent to it. Hopefully it does well in there. I thought maybe the chickens would help with pest control. Time will tell! Will order here again. I tried to add a photo but it’s not working, so you’ll have to take my word for it. Ha It probably had 10-12 branches. Very nice tree.

Top Notch

I got a very nice tree sent to me, and I m especially happy with it for the price. It was VERY well branched, nice trunk thickness, packed in such a way no branches broke, and sent dormant, as it should be, as trees go through so much less stress when transplanted while dormant. They trimmed the roots, which I don t like, but not excessively, so it still had plenty left to be healthy. It was the nicest mail order tree I planted his year, and I planted a LOT. I m very happy with my tree.

Great looking trees. I thought the roots were well packed but slightly dry.
