Prunus persica var. nectarina 'Raspberry Red'

Developed by the California Rare Fruit Growers' Hybridizer Group. A rare nectarine with rich, red flesh reminiscent of the old "Indian Blood" peaches. It is the result of crossing red-fleshed peaches with white nectarines and re-crossing the subsequent seedlings. Small to medium sized fruit has dark burgundy skin with freestone flesh streaked in red and a juicy, melting texture. The flavor is unique: rich and complex, very sweet but with a pleasant tartness similar to raspberry.

Disappointment

Disappointment with this order. It was delayed 24 hours in arriving. Root ball was damp when uncovered so I put in a bucket of cool water overnight. Planted next day. Tree had 2 branches about 2 feet long less than pencil thickness which I trimed and 5 other branches. 2 of those branches had leaves showing. No leaves have sprouted on the other branches all summer . No central leader growth. Now the two leafed branches have died.
The bark is hard, no green shows under the bark. This is not the quality plant like I have received in the past years. I have bought approx 30 plants over the years and all grew. What can you do for me ?.

Raspberry Red Nectarine tree

My tree showed up looking amazing and has been in the ground a couple of weeks now. In the first week it put on beautiful pink blooms and now is leafing out nicely. Thank you
