Rubus x loganobaccus

The thornless Logan is thought to be a wild cross between a blackberry and a red raspberry. Plants are only about half as productive as either Marionberry or Tayberry, but large, flavorful fruit has an intense, complex flavor that is highly prized. Many people prefer the flavor to all others, and the fragrance adds dimension to any cooked or preserved treat!

Loganberries grow much like blackberries on a single vigorous cane that begins erect, but will fall over without support. Canes are somewhat brittle; tie carefully in windy locations.
