QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • I live in McAllen TX. It does get hot here, especially July-October. Can a pear tree really thrive and produce in my area?

Probably not, at least not an Asian pears. There are a few pears, like Warren, Ayer's, or Seckel that might work, but generally you're not in pear country.

I had forgotten I ordered this particular pear tree so was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. It came with a strange curvature in the trunk that worried me, but I gave it a chance and planted with love. It is doing very well! I love to see new leaves forming, opening, reaching for the sun. Seems like a very strong and determined tree!

Very Happy

I was super excited to get my combo pear and see what varieties I would get. It's been planted now for about two weeks and I'm seeing buds start to emerge. Very happy with my purchase so far.
