Some crowns didn't have any growth

I received my order of strawberry crowns along with other fruit trees. All fruit trees look very good, but I can't say the same for the strawberry crowns. Some of the crowns look like there is no growth on them. They look like dried brown roots. I am really hoping that they will grow into healthy plants. Pictures here for reference. I will be transplanting them to their final location in a couple of weeks.
