Malus domestica 'Mott's Pink'

A fantastic pink-fleshed apple! With fruit that's tart, firm, crisp, and very juicy, it's refreshing for fresh eating and makes a delicious pink apple sauce. The tree is productive, bearing loads of medium size yellow fruit with a pink blush to each apple's flesh that varies from apple to apple and season to season.

While most red-fleshed apples have a red tint to their leaves, Mott's Pink leaves remain a true green - but the spring blooms are a delightful dark pink! Fruit ripens in early to midseason.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Good Day, is this a diploid or a triploid for it's pollen? I have a triploid and a diploid planted (my mistake) so I am looking to add a second diploid so that all can be pollenated.

Mott's Pink is a dioploid, so as long as the bloom timing overlaps with your other diploid you'll be fine

  • I’m thinking of doing Mott’s Pink and Pink Pearl as a pairing. Would that work for pollination?

Yes, those two trees will pollinate each other.

The Mott’s pink apple tree arrived in great

The Mott’s pink apple tree arrived in great condition. I’m Looking forward to those pink blossoms. My bloom group two trees are the closest to the house. And this beautiful tree is the
Closest of the group. It is the final addition this year making a nice orchard of 20 trees.
Actually, make that 40 trees. Near each tree I planted a mini dwarf rootstock just in case I later decided on grafting for a smaller tree.
