William's Pride Apple

Planted last year and the leaves are curled—treated and watered consistently but still curled and tree not thriving

I planted "William's Pride" in 2022. The tree is vigorous and blooms abundantly, as advertised in description, the bloom period is early but noticeably long and stretched in time. It bloomed on the same year when planted, but there were no fruits set, as well as on the next year 2023. This season (2024) was much better, bloom time of "William's" overlapped well with its neighbor apple tree "Chehalis" and with wild crabapples in the woods around my property, therefore the fruit set was abundant and needed finning. The color of ripe apples is impressive, ranges from pink to dark burgundy. The taste is great too, resembles some famous heirloom applies verities, different from what we see on a supermarket shelve today. The resistance to diseases is excellent, as advertised. As mentioned in description of this variety, it naturally forms an optimal angle between branches, which maximize the strength of branch/limb structure.

Trees arrived and were perfect. Got them in the ground and they’re already blooming and look extremely healthy. I’ve never ordered live plants and had them shipped before, so I was a little worried, but they were great! Would definitely order again!

Bare root tree arrived in great shape. Was packaged with care and I have had many compliments on how great it looks. I can't wait to watch this beautiful tree grow and produce fruit.

The tree was in great condition when I got it. I was amazed at how great the root system was, probably the best I have ever seen.

Tree arrived on time and I planted it the next day. Its already blooming! So far so good. I'm happy.

Planted around June 5th, started flowering around June 18th. Off to a good start.

Tree is alive, though it is "Y" shaped and is being property trained for the area it lives in. Seems to have 1 apple-ling on it already.

Beautiful bare root tree. Has a nice straight 1” + caliper trunk and multiple branches. Excellent root structure. It is about ready to leaf out. I planted it as soon as I could after receiving it.

Strong roots and nice size tree. Healthy. Took longer in transit from west to east cost, luckily theyre ok. Would recommend!

Made it all the way to South Georgia without issue. I am excited to grow one of these disease resistant apples since fireblight can be rampant with our heat and humidity. Rain tree is the only place I could find this apple variety.

I've had a Williams Pride for 5 years. Good production, very good taste, especially for early apple and it stays tasty for a month in a refrigerator. My favorite red early apple with Pristine being my favorite early yellow apple. Pristine also very good taste and keeps well for a month. Great production.

First of all, it's even hardier than the USDA Zone suggests . I planted a couple at my old Québec farm [Z 2b/3a] in 1984. They're still thriving and yielding well. Every bit as disease resistant as advertised. Generally, it's a very well-behaved tree, meaning easy to maintain its shape, and very few water sprouts.

In my opinion it is the very best early apple out there; nothing even comes close. In eastern Kansas it ripens about the third week of July, and in short-summer areas mid-September is more typical.

Superb flavor: crisp, juicy, great sugar-acid balance. Delightful to eat out of hand, great for pies and crisps, makes very nice applesauce and freezes quite well.

Under basic refrigeration it will store rather well for 6 to 8 weeks, often longer. If only have space for one apple tree, this one' it.

I can update my review in one year. At this time I can tell that I received a box with 5 trees (two combos and 3 apples). Combo trees just wrapped in plastic without shredded paper, but apple tees, included William's pride just were attached. Almost dry roots. Arrived evening. I kept in water all night and planted next morning as instructed. The tree looks alive, but will see later, bugs still dormant.

For such a small thin tree, it leafed out, blossomed and produced a few small apples, which I took off. Wow, it is growing great for just 3 months. I like how the branches go out, leaving lots of air-flow: ideal for apple trees.

Bought two apple trees. They were right on time and healthy healthy healthy. Growing well!

I never received my order. I spent nearly $365 on 5 trees with nearly $80 in shipping. With no signature required for delivery I have no idea where the packaged was delivered but I was home on day they say it was delivered. Raintree has not communicated any remedy even though they say delivery of live trees is guaranteed.

I planted a Williams Pride Apple Tree at my mothers home in North Central Montana roughly fifteen years ago. The tree was from Rain-tree nursery and the service was terrific with detailed planting instructions. long story short, the apples produced were the best I’ve ever eaten…ridiculously good. September is when they were harvested here in Montana and although the branches grow awkwardly, the fruit is amazing. Mom is gone now, but new trees have been added at my home.
