20 years of experience with this tree.

I have had a Blake’s from Raintree for close to 20 years. It started producing in the third or fourth year and has never failed to give us a huge harvest of the best pears I have ever eaten. My other pear trees are good but this one is stupendous. Be sure to prune yearly to keep pears within reach. These are excellent out of hand, canned or sauced. Not a great keeper. Pick when still firm but not hard. Will ripen on the kitchen counter or leave some on tree until ready to drop. YUM!
