QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Would a peach or nectarine pollinate this tree?

No, you will need another apricot for cross pollination.

  • Will these grow well in a container?

They do! A half wine barrel is best, but other containers can work as well.

  • Will this do well in Portland Oregon? Also would like to know if freestone and self fertile, I want to grow in container. ThanksJ

It will grow reasonably well in a container given enough sun and supplemental water. It is freestone and self-fertile.

  • Apparently it helps to have a second apricot tree to get more fruit. Does it have to be a different apricot variety or is the same one ok?

Yes for cross pollination you need 2 different variaties of tree.
