QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • What USDA zone is this plant recommended to grow in? I am in zone 10b. What is the recommended soil pH?

Zone 10b is a bit too warm for cranberries.

  • I just received my Kalinka Highbush Cranberry. I've unpacked it but did not find any planting instructions. On your website for planting instructions it covers bare-root, but this is in a pot. Does this plant like full sun or partial shade? Lots of water or moderate? I know ground cranberries like plenty of water. I've read the description but didn't find these answers. THank you for your time.

This Highbush Cranberry likes full to half day sun and can grow up to 8" or more in height. It is pest and disease resistant. It is self-fertile and hardy to minus 30 degrees; USDA Zone 3. Potting is similar to bareroot, but your hole size does not have to be much greater than the size of the pot. Moderate watering in the Fall will help it establish a root system before the winter season. In the Spring and through Summer water plants once to twice weekly. Soil should be wet but not soggy.

  • Hi, do you have a size, sun, and dz resistance on this new cranberry?

This varietal prefers full to have day-sun and it is known to be disease resistant. It arrives in a 1-gallon pot, which ranges between 12" - 24".
