Candy Heart Pluerry

I bought the candy heart this year along with several other trees and it has done fantastically! I live in South Carolina (7b) and after I received it in March, I planted it right away using the deep hole method shown by Tom Spellman on Epic Gardening-Youtube. Then I mulched it deeply and have been regularly watering it since. We had a very hot, dry spell in June- July, not only did it survive, but it has thrived and sent out vigorous new growth! I can't wait to see the fruit it produces in a few years!

Arrived in perfect condition. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it had initially been pruned at knee height and had formed 3 strong branches. I’m a year ahead of where I’d be if it was just a smaller whip. Looking forward to seeing the fruit.

The tree showed up in great shape and currently pushing foliage. Time will tell on fruit quality. I have never had a bad shipment from Raintree.

I have over 50 taste test winning fruit trees in my yard. I purchased 2 candy heart pluerry trees in 2016 under the rcommendation from the nursery. I live in Riverside Ca, and was originally worried about the chill hours required, we only get 200-300 chill hours. Well, do not fear, this tree flowers at 150 hours, excellent for southern ca. The fruit is spectacular, best eating fruit tree in my yard. This is a special tree and I wish my nursery would order some. I havent seen it since it premeired in 2016.

Very good bare root plant, instantly wants to flower. Shipping is a bit high.
