Please Note: We cannot guarantee specific variety requests for combo trees due to the numerous factors that can affect successful grafting. If you desire a specific varietal, we recommend purchasing it as a single-graft tree from our collection.

A combo with great color and flavor. Geo Pride has red skin, very productive and flavorful. Flavor Grenade ripens over a six week period in mid summer and is crisp, green with a red blush with explosive flavor. Emerald Drop is green and as sweet as honey. Splash is bright orange and tops in flavor. 500 to 600 hours of chill needed. Patented. Pluots need hot summers to bring out the sweet flavors. You will receive 3 out of the 4 varieties listed.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Is the good for zone 10A

Plouts require 400-600 chilling hours. If your area gets enough chilling hours you should be fine.

  • Could this work in zone 5?

Pluots are rated for zone 5b to 6a, so technically yes, but some areas may be too cold.

First time Combo Zee Pluot Grower

The tree arrived well packed in good condition. I wish it had more of a root ball, some roots were broken, not just cut.

The three cultivar grafts were too vertical, so I pruned carefully to outside growth nodes, evened up the lengths, and carefully placed some limb spreaders to guide the branches into more fruitful angles.

Will be interesting to see how it responds and grows. I'm super curious about growing a combo tree. Also, all three cultivars are new to me, so when it's mature enough to fruit, it will be fun taste testing!

The combo Pluot showed up looking great. I can hardly wait to watch it grow.
