Marianna 2624 Rootstock

Mariana 2024 is mostly just thought of as a root stock, but it's actually a delicious plum. Most importantly it's one of the few truly high-quality plums that does super well in the Deep South. I live near Savannah, GA and have a humid borderline 8b/9a climate. Most high-quality plums can't take our bacterial stem canker pressure. Mariana has not had any disease problems despite other varieties dying from stem canker around it and the scion originally grafted on it dying from canker causing it to sucker resulting in my best plum tree. Mine is pollinized by an Auburn University Cherry Plum which also does well here on a Mariana rootstock.
