Toona or Cedrela sinensis

This remarkable tree from China would grow to 30' or more with attractive compound leaves. However, keep it cut back and harvest the new leaves. They taste like leeks. Great in salads, stir fry etc. One gallon pot.

My order just arrived

My order just arrived. It is NOT a Toona Sinensis. It's an invasive Tree of Heaven. They look similar, but they're definitely not the same. I tried to contact the nursery to no avail. Tree of Heaven is nearly impossible to get rid of once it's established.

This tree is invasive!

This tree is invasive. I have new springtrees shooting up from its roots all over my backyard, my front yard, and now from under my house and decks. If I leave it unchecked, I will have a property forested with springtrees. The new trees grow quickly, and I am forever cutting them down. I am now going to pay a tree cutting service to remove the tree. It’s going to cost me several hundred dollars, and it may not solve the problem completely because the roots are throughout my property. Don’t buy this tree unless you’re going to leave it in a pot on a cement surface.
