Crataegus pinnatifida 'Red Sun'

Red Sun is prized for its unique oak-leaf like foliage and large, tasty fruit. Know in China as Shan Zha, this attractive, small tree displays large clusters of white flowers followed by abundant, round, 1" diameter fruit which turn red when ripe. This unique sweet and flavorful fruit is delicious eaten fresh, dried, stewed, and made into candy.

Chinese Haw is relatively easy to grow, disease resistant, and hardy once well-established. Does not tolerate drought well as a young tree. Mature height to about 15' tall.

My hawthorn trees have new leaves

I pre-ordered hawthorn trees last year and received this year. They came in very strong and healthy condition.
