(Erioboytra japonica) This tropical looking tree produces leathery evergreen foliage and fruit that is very sweet, aromatic and looks like a small round apricot. The tree is self-fertile and hardy to 12° F. It blooms in late winter and only sets fruit in areas with above freezing winters and hot summers. It grows well but rarely fruits in the Pacific Northwest. It can grow to 20' tall or be kept small in a pot.
