Ananas Reinette Apple
Malus domestica 'Ananas Reinette'
An heirloom variety of yellow apple originally discovered in France in the 1500s, Ananas Reinette means “pineapple russet”, named so for the distinctive vertical green stripes visible on the skin. With a tart-sweet fine grained flesh and a crispy hearty crunch, Ananas Reinette is a great keeper apple that ripens in mid October and is as great for fresh eating as it is for cooking. Mid season bloom.
