A great indoor edible potted plant producing regularly - even in a small pot! Enjoy fragrant, dark  purple-black fruit, the size of a large egg, with excellent flavor. The unusual flowers are lightly fragrant and white with a purple interior crown. On this variety the vine is vigorous but unusually compact.

Passiflora edulis is native to S. America, where it is also known as grenadilla. For best production inside, hand-pollinate using pollen from older flowers transferred into blooms that are just opening. Can be planted outside in very warm zones where it will range and produce fruit if summers are long enough and warm enough. Self fertile.
