The amazing, otherworldly ornamental flowers have white petals and white and purple crowns. The orange colored oval fruit is used to flavor beverages. Unlike Passiflora edulis, the fruits never turn dark.

Passiflora caerulea is a hardy perennial vine native to S. America. Rare temperatures below 20 deg. F. will kill the top of the plant, but mulched around the base it will regrow in the spring and flower and fruit each year if summers are long enough and warm enough. Self fertile.
