Burkwood Viburnum
Viburnum × burkwoodii
This large, robust, spring-flowering bush offers tailored, glossy green leaves and loads of whimsical pom-pom clusters of pinkish-white, spicy/sweet fragrant blooms. Great as a back-of-the-border visual screen or hedgerow member that offers lots of pollen for early spring foragers.
Grows up to 8'x 5' at maturity, the stiff stems hold red berries that ripen to black by the end of summer. Mostly deciduous in cooler climates, but can be evergreen in warmer zones. Disease and pest-resistant. USDA zones 5-8
