CoffeeCake Persimmon

I bought this tree in 2020. It arrived as a stick and it took quite a while before the buds started to break. In Sacramento area within past five years it grew into a beautiful and vigorous tree. Only on the fifth year it bloomed profusely and started to bear fruits. Highly recommend it.

Arrived here in San Diego Mar 6th bare root. Went in the ground that night, and is now (Mar 23rd) breaking buds. We'll see how it leafs out, but looks good so far.

This tree is beautiful, neighbors stop and ask about it spring, summer and of course in the fall when the leaves have fallen and the vibrant fruit is hanging. This is the 6th spring and I’m expecting a bigger harvest than last year (3rd season with fruit).
The spring green leaves turn a deep glossy green after a few weeks.
Be patient, this tree is worth the wait!

Ok. First the pros. Arrived alive and healthy. The communications were good. What I got I would describe as a 4-5 ft. stick with one (and only one 3 inch branch. Not my idea of a tree. Had I known this I probably wouldn't have bought. The onther plant I purchased I would give five stars. Alive healthy looks good. Im looking forward to the beauty of the future growth.

I spent approx. $100 for a stick that I can only hope will someday grow into a tree. I have been a loyal Raintree customer for over 20 years and like the variety of plants you offer. But the tree that came was small, had no branches (the small one it had was broken off) and looked very stressed. I was going to plant it in a special spot, but decided that I had better put it in a pot to let it grow for a few years before I plant it in the ground. I was sadly disappointed.
