  • I live in McAllen TX. It does get hot here, especially July-October. Can a pear tree really thrive and produce in my area?

    Probably not, at least not an Asian pears. There are a few pears, like Warren, Ayer's, or Seckel that might work, but generally you're not in pear country.

Asian Pear Tree arrived looking very healthy. We planted within 48 hours. Within one month it began to have blooms. Definitely would purchase from Raintree again. Excellent Quality.

I had forgotten I ordered this particular pear tree so was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. It came with a strange curvature in the trunk that worried me, but I gave it a chance and planted with love. It is doing very well! I love to see new leaves forming, opening, reaching for the sun. Seems like a very strong and determined tree!
