  • I live in McAllen TX. It does get hot here, especially July-October. Can a pear tree really thrive and produce in my area?

    Probably not, at least not an Asian pears. There are a few pears, like Warren, Ayer's, or Seckel that might work, but generally you're not in pear country.

Organically Grown No Chemical No Spray Japanese Pears :-)

I purchased Combination Asian Pear tree in April 2024. I have delicious pears in late Summer ~ fall in 2025. No pesticides, no herbicides, no synthetic fertilizer.

I had forgotten I ordered this particular pear tree so was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. It came with a strange curvature in the trunk that worried me, but I gave it a chance and planted with love. It is doing very well! I love to see new leaves forming, opening, reaching for the sun. Seems like a very strong and determined tree!
