Cordifolia Hardy Kiwi
Actinidia arguta var. cordifolia
Our Cordifolia is a female variety of arguta hardy kiwi that is prized for its especially sweet fruit, as compared to other hardy argutas. The fruit is roundish, the plant is very productive, and the bloom is early.
These fast-growing, beautiful female vines are exceptionally hardy (to -25F) and prefer afternoon shade in hot summer areas. They are smooth-textured, very vigorous and need solid support. Allow the vines 3-5 years to begin flowering and fruiting. Requires male hardy arguta or early-blooming fuzzy deliciosa for pollination.
