Dixie Blueberry
Vaccinium corymbosum 'Dixie'
Dixie is a late-season favorite that is easy to grow and one of the oldest blueberry varieties. The berries are dark blue, medium-large in size, pleasantly sweet and unusually fragrant.
A taller and well-shaped Northern Highbush selection with a more open habit, it has excellent ornamental value. Requires 800-1000 chill hours to successfully set fruit. Will produce more fruit with a different variety as a pollinizer.
