Early Bird is the earliest ripening of the all mulberry varieties! Starting in early summer, this tree bears an abundance of sweet, dark, highly-flavored fruit, 1-1/2 inches long x 1/2 inch wide that look like elongated blackberries, and have a delicious and distinctive sweet taste. The berries start to ripen as early as June here in the Pacific Northwest, possibly earlier in warmer climates!
Offer consistent water during first two years of establishment. Somewhat drought tolerant as a mature tree.
