Early Pink Lady is true to its name! Ripening 3-4 weeks ahead of the rest of the varieties that are all sold under the Pink Lady trademark, Early Pink Lady (Maslin strain®) is a bud sport, making it possible to grow this crunchy and fragrant fruit in maritime and other areas where the normal variety of Pink Lady won't fully ripen.

Also considered low chill; 400 hours to set fruit reliably.

  • Can this be grown in zone 8b and what apple treewould be best to cross pollinate .(I like honeycrisp)

    Yes, it can. It is in Bloom Group 4. Honeycrisp is also in Bloom Group 4, which makes it a great pollinating partner. 

  • Will these pollinate well next to stayman winesaps?

    Stayman Winesap is a triploid apple and does not produce compatible pollen for this (or any) apple tree in terms of pollinization.

  • Can the pink lady be included on an espalier?

    It can be trained as an espalier tree yes.

  • Mature height says 11 feet for dwarf. What is the expected mature height of the Early Pink Lady (10" sleeve) on rootstock M111?

    M111 is a semi-dwarf stock that tops out around 16'-18' tall and wide.

  • Will the Combo Disease-Resistant Apple or the Combo Heritage Apple pollinate this tree?

    Yes!
