Fragrant valleys is an attractive dwarf shrub offering a deep-green glossy foliage. Unlike many species, sweet box makes sweet-scented fragrant blooms in early springtime. Once they flower, sweet box sports ornamental red berries that turn black over summer and persist until the following winter. While the berries are not poisonous, they are not recommended for eating and are even left by wildlife well into the winter.
