Love aronia, but running out of space in your garden? Then look no further than the Ground Hug aronia! Ground Hug is a small shrub that tends to crawl outward across the ground making a bountiful groundcover. With a height ranging from 1'-2' tall and spanning a width of about 2'-3' wide, this plant's small growth habit makes it very easy to care for. Aronia are tolerant to drought, but due to it's short and wide habit, Ground Hug aronia also provides assistance protecting soils in areas affected by erosion.

  • Is this variety evergreen or deciduous?

    It is a deciduous plant. 

  • How tolerant is this of foot traffic? Could I plant in the area between street and sidewalk?

    Not at all, it is a woody stemmed plant that will not tolerate being stepped on.

So pleased with this well developed healthy plant! Excellent roots and lovely branching. Some fall foliage still intact. Planted 2 days after receiving and she’s doing great! I ordered another I love it so much🙏
