QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • I would like to know if this tree will grow and fruit well in North Texas in the Dallas area?

It is well-suited for warmer climates as it has low-chill hour requirements.

  • I have a Hudson which needs a pollinator. It will have to grow in a pot, so 5-7 feet. I'm in western Oregon. Is Lapin a good choice, or what would you suggest?

Lapins should do well in your area and function as another sweet cherry for pollination.

  • I would like to know if this tree grow well in Atlanta GA and how many year it will estimated to fruit for this tree ?

It will grow, though not as well as pie cherries like Montmorency. On a Gisela stock they should start fruiting within 2-3 years.

  • I live in Western Washington and am looking for a good dwarf sweet cherry tree that will grow well in my area.

Lapins and Stella are great picks!

  • Will this tree do well in west michigan?

It should yes. Lapins is a reliable and vigorous cherry that does well in areas cherries typically don't.

  • How many years estimated to fruit for these cherry trees?

On this rootstock it's pretty quick. 2-3 years if all goes well.

I am very pleased. My shipment was delayed, because of UPS (not Raintree Nursery). When I contacted Raintree, I got a rapid response, which I appreciated. My trees arrived on Thursday and I planted them on Friday. They were very will packaged and the trees were in good shape and look very good. When I got up this morning (Sat.) there were 3 blossoms on one of the trees and some developing on the other tree. I was excited to see them. Hope I did a good job of planting them. I planted them in 20 gallon containers.
On another note. I ordered 3 Cascade Red Current bushes earlier this year. They are also planted in containers and they are doing great so far.
I am very pleased. Thanks for such great plants.

Lapins Cherry Tree - No fruits

I have one 7-years old Lapins cherry tree in Indiana, it blooms very well every spring, but never produces any cherry.
