Lynden Blue Grape
Vitis lambrusca x vinifera 'Lynden Blue'
Prohibited to OR, ID and NY.
A great choice for gardeners in cool summer areas who want the full, rich taste of a Concord-style grape, but don't have the GDD (Growing Degree Days) to ripen actual Concord fruit. This compact vine produces medium clusters of very large, sweet, dark blue, slipskin, seeded grapes that are excellent eaten fresh or for juice. Developed in British Columbia, it ripens in early October in the PNW. Grows in USDA Zone 5-9.
