My 2 favorite pears combined in one

I bought this tree in 2021 and last year (2024) was the first time it had fruit on it - 2 pears. This year, 2025, it is full of beautiful pears that turn yellow and reddish after harvesting. What really surprised me is that the pears seem to be resistant to the coddling moth, unlike my Nijisseiki Asian pears and the red Bartlett pears, which were strongly affected. The Maxie has a hint of Bartlett flavor with the firmness and juiciness of the Nijisseki pear and lasts longer than a Bartlett pear after harvesting. Even though the tree had some signs of pear rust the first two years, through carefully removing and destroying diseased leaves, the tree is really healthy so far this year (mid September). All in all, this is a great pear variety.
