O'Neal Blueberry

Introducing the O'Neal blueberry, a Southern Highbush variety that boasts a vigorous, bushy growth habit, reaching a mature height of 4-6 feet, with medium-to-large, very sweet berries. Originally introduced in 1987 by Northern Carolina State University, this variety pairs well with 'Jubilee' in colder climates and any of the evergreen S. Highbush cultivars like 'Star', 'Emerald' or 'Sunshine Blue' in areas with warmer winters.
O'Neal thrives in acidic soil (ph 4.5 - 5.5) with good drainage and requires full sun exposure for optimal growth. Requires heavily acidic soil and regular water. Considered low chill at 450 hours.
