Morus macroura 'Saharanpur'
This tree's abundant fruit is long and thin, like its sister variety Pakistan, growing to 3 ½ inches - but is light yellow in color when ripe. The sweet, flavorful fruits can be picked for more than a month in the summer as more continue to ripen. This tree can grow to 30 feet or more, but can be kept much smaller with pruning.
Considered reliably resistant to popcorn disease in hot and humid climates. 200 chill hours needed. Provide consistent water during first 2 years of establishment.
