Pastilliere Fig

This fig cannot be killed with conventional weapons. I bought it in the fall with the idea of overwintering it and planting in the spring. Stupidly I left it outside and a freezing winter night killed it completely. In the spring I just stuck it over to the side of my house but kept it watered some just in case.

It sprouted out again and started to grow. I planted it in ground but used some bagged manure that apparently had herbicide in it. The same stuff killed my peach tree. So I dug it out just to see if I could save it. The leaves had already started curling up and dying.

I washed the roots off and potted it with my fingers crossed. It started growing again and put on new growth. It is now planted again in ground and growing like nothing ever happened to it.

Great looking tree and extremely well packaged .

Arrived in great condition in November 2025. I've heard great things about this variety and I can't wait to see how it grows & produces next year!

Be aware there are some wrong Pastilliere and also unknown Pastilliere types that will drop the fruits. Raintree has the correct Pastilliere type that will hold its fruits. I got a very nice healthy large plant and couldn’t be happier. It’s growing beautifully rain or shine, while all my other fig trees struggle to fight rust.

Pastilliere Fig tree came in good shape. I planted it and it is already putting on leaves. After I bought it I read this particular variety is notorious for dropping its fruit. I hope not!! From what I read before, I was all in. Fingers crossed!

I like the fact it was just opening up the buds which were I live is right in unison with my container figs I currently have so I don’t have to worry about leaf scorch as much and will gradually harden them off and the size was decent sometimes you get small plants online. Berry happy with purchase I tried to get it 5 stars ,but hit the wrong star and couldn’t change it.

I received the tree after over a month from order date. It was well packaged and was just starting to leaf out. After a week a few new buds are appearing. Raintree is one of the very few nurseries that carry this variety. There was a mistake is filling my order but Raintree quickly responded and corrected the mistake. This is a quality nursery and seller.

I received this very healthy tree 3 weeks ago, adapted it to the location gradually, and planted it a week ago. It is doing exceptionally well- many new leaf shoots! Thank you!
