A beautiful bright purple fig with flavorful strawberry colored flesh. It often ripens an October crop in the Pacific Northwest where most others fail. It is a good companion to varieties like Desert King which ripen only a summer crop. It is thought to be a Japanese variety called Hirta that was introduced into Europe in the 19th century.

This variety is grown from tissue culture and has been heat-treated to significantly reduce the presence of Fig Mosaic Virus.

    No, it's an account bookmark. You will need to check back yourself.

  • How does pre-order actually work? I'm not sure I can tell when the plants would be shipped. Do you get to arrange shipment date? It's difficult to gauge if you will be able to be home to take delivery if it's some unknown date in the future. Thank you

    Pre-order is flexible depending on how the plant is stored, shipped, and your location. Some potted plants can be shipped in the fall, all bareroot plants will be shipped between February and May depending on your location. If you are local to the nursery you can arrange for a pickup as soon as the plants are available and on-site.
