Plant in full sun soil with neutral ph and excellent drainage - approximately 6"-8" between crowns and rows 3'-4' apart. Crowns should be buried in furrows 8"-10" below soil level and initially covered by 2" of soil; continue to fill in the channel as the upright spears extend but do not cover the spear tips at any point. Feed and water carefully for first 2 years of establishment - harvests may begin at year 3 after planting.
